Today on 5th March 2020 at Popular English Medium School Bajpe, Sr Leena D’Costa the coordinator of Sahodaya Bethany Seva Kendra conducted awareness programme on child trafficking and prevention of drug addiction. Mrs Shreelatha Head Constable NECP was the resource Person. She spoke on ill effects of use of ganja explained about the plant & its advantages & disadvantages. She gently warned the students to be away from this. With few examples she placed before them the seriousness of the use & abuses and punishment. She highlighted on the heinous crime against children through child trafficking and drugs abuse. As a NECP officer she has raided and trapped many cases and also rescued many young girls. Sr Leena spoke on child trafficking she showed the inspiring video. She encouraged the students to make efforts to bring froth their bright dreams into reality. Mrs Nalini Shetty also gave an example of students who misbehave are addicted to drug and lose their future. Headmistress of Popular English Medium School, Bajpe welcomed us and offered a memento and for the apt topic taken to enlighten the students. There were 360 students from class 6th to 9th.
